The Ganjala pass is one of the most challenging passes
in Nepal. This wedge in the Himalya is situated at an
altitude of 5160m. Our Langtang trek takes you over this
pass as you make your way south from Langtang village
which lies at 3500m and where the national park
headquarters is located. The route from Gyang in Helambu,
require crossing the 5106m Ganja La. The pass is blocked
by snow, so local inquiries about its condition , good
equipment and mountaineering experience are necessary
for safe crossing. The Helambu village excudes a Tibetan
feel and you will see fields enclosed by stone walls as
wellas herds of yaks, the most important animal for the
people here. From Tarke Gyang, we descend to Melamchi
Khola before climbing to Pati Bhyanjyang, then trek down
to Sundarijal, from here we drive back to Katmandu.With
the perfect setting of river and forest, it is chiefly
inhabited by Tamangs and the high soaring peaks -
Langtang is a right choice for both nature lovers and
the adventurers. The valley that is in the first
National Park of Nepal – Langtang National Park, could
be linked with Sherpa dominant valley of Helembu either
by Gosainkunda Pass (4,610m) or by Ganja La pass
(5,106m). While Gosainkunda pass is commonly used by
trekkers to traverse to Helambu, Ganja La has always
been concern of trekkers. Ganja La makes the trekking to
Langtang one of the challenging trek of Nepal with
unfavorable weather conditions. Good equipment and
knowledge of mountaineering is a must for this trekking. finally to Sundarijal Where we
take bus to Kathmandu. Clients carry daypack only and
walk at their own pace. Trekking hours will be 5-7 hours
per day.
